Brushstorkes	Poor The student does not represent expressionist brushstrokes and mood throughout the entire painting. It is not clear that there is expression in the painting.	Fair The student uses some expression and expressionistic brushstrokes in their painting. There is some what of a mood or expression in the painting.	Good The student uses expressionistic brushstrokes throughout their entire painting. The mood and expression are well represented in the painting.
Participation	Poor The student does not stay on task and participate in the project.	Fair The student has a hard time staying on task but does participate in the project.	Good The student fully participates in the project.
Style of Painting	Poor The student does not try to paint an expressionist style of painting.	Fair The student attempts to stay with the expressionist style of painting but has some flaws.	Good The students painting is exactly what an expressionist style of painting should look like.
