Drawing Lines of Symmetry Drawing Lines of Symmetry Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Draw	Level 4 Student accurately creates drawing using multiple lines of symmetry.	Level 3 Student accurately creates drawing with one line of symmetry.	Level 2 Student accurately creates drawing with line(s) of symmetry with no more than 3-4 errors on those with multiple lines of symmetry or 1-2 errors on those with only one line of symmetry.	Level 1 Student attempts to create drawing with one line of symmetry or multiple lines of symmetry. Student shows effort but makes multiple (more than 5) mistakes.
Explain	Level 4 Student clearly explains how to determine symmetry correctly using accurate terminology.	Level 3 Student adequately explains how to determine symmetry using some terminology.	Level 2 Student gives partial explanation of how to determine symmetry or uses terminology incorrectly.	Level 1 Student is unable to adequately explain how to determine symmetry.
