Basic Wiring Electrical Wiring Project
	Advanced 4 pts	Proficient 3 pts	Basic 2 pts	Below Basic 1 pts
Wire Insulation length	Advanced Student has the right amount of insulation inside of the box. The insulation has no cuts anywhere in the circuit.	Proficient Student has more than 1/2" but less than 1" of insulation in the box. The insulation has less than two places cut or ripped in the circuit.	Basic Student has more than 1" of insulation in the box. The insulation has cuts or rips in more than two place in the circuit.	Below Basic Student has no insulation in the box.
Wire nut connection	Advanced Student has the wire nuts tight, no copper wire is showing from the wire nut.	Proficient Student has the wire nuts tight, but copper wire is visible from under the wire nut.	Basic Student has the wire nuts on the wire but is not tight and copper wire is showing from under the wire nut.	Below Basic Student has no wire nuts on wires.
Screw terminal connections	Advanced Student has the terminal screws tight with the wire hooks going the right way.	Proficient Student has the terminal screws tight, but the wire hooks are going backwards.	Basic Student does not have the terminal screws tight, the wire hooks either right or backwards.	Below Basic Student does not have the wire connected to the terminal screws.
Neatness	Advanced Student's wiring project has evenly bent wires, all wires are the same length, folded neatly in the box.	Proficient Student's wiring project has some evenly bent wires but not all the way through the project.	Basic Student's wiring project has different length wires, crammed in the box.	Below Basic Student's wiring project is unorderly to the point that it is not meet code.
Functionality	Advanced Student's wiring project works without any problems. All connections are tight.	Proficient Student's wiring project works but has minor problems. (connections are not tight)(wire nuts are not tight)	Basic Student's wiring project will not work.	Below Basic Student's wiring project will not work and would be a hazard if used.
