Fabric Charcoal Drawing Paper Bag Charcoal Drawing Students will draw draped fabric using charcoal and apply drawing and shading techniques they have learned. Students will render a final drawing that illustrates their understanding of drawing concepts we have studied in class. Proportion and Space There is consideration given to the proportion of the object (scale and size in comparison to each other) and the background. Shading and Shape Include a range of at least 5 values that describe the three-dimensional form. The contours of the forms and textures are accurately rendered through the use of value, shading techniques, and/or contour lines. Advanced ADVANCED Varied value range of darks, highlights, and mid tones, and all of the objects reflect the actual contour (shape). Uses shading to create edges and lines (vs. drawing them) – use eraser as a drawing tool both to create highlights, shapes, lines and, atmospheric perspective/spatial awareness.
Craftsmanship The work is well crafted.	Below Basic BELOW BASIC The amount of stray marks, smudges, or paper imperfections detracts from the overall apperance of the drawing.	Basic BASIC A few stray marks or smudges are evident but do not greatly detract from the overall appearance of the drawing.	Proficient PROFICIENT Presentation of the work is clean and neat with no stray marks, smudges, wrinkles or curled edges of paper.	Advanced ADVANCED Presentation of the work is exemplary.
Personal Style Work demonstrates personal mark making style being developed by the artist.	Below Basic BELOW BASIC Many techniques or different kinds of mark making are employed and feel inconsistent or chaotic.	Basic BASIC There is some consistency with mark making.	Proficient PROFICIENT Marks are consistent reflecting the personal style of the artist emerging.	Advanced ADVANCED Marks are very consistent, and confidently rendered reflecting intentional development of personal style.
