Fair Restated portion of the question or there is an attempt to restate The reader is not reminded of the purpose at the end.	Poor Did not restate the question, Or misinterpreted the question or response begins with "Because," "So", "That" or is not a sentence.
ANSWER the question	Excellent Answered ALL parts of the question CLEARLY.	Good Answered the question.	Fair Answer is incorrect and incomplete. The student does not show a clear understanding of how of how to continue.	Poor Did not answer the question Or misinterpreted the question. The answer has nothing to do with the question
CITE evidence	Excellent Cites two or more pieces of evidence directly from the text correctly with quotations and the cited information was clearly relevant to the question. EXPLAIN the evidence	Excellent Fully explained or expanded evidence ensuring reader understands how evidence supports the question and answer.
