Teach a Skill to the Class

Students are required to complete two tasks: teaching a lesson to their classmates on a chosen sport, and present significant elements important to the chosen sport (sportsmanship, rules, safety, etc).

Presentation 50 %	Poor Student did not stand or make eye contact when teaching lesson. Student did not discuss THREE topics or discussed them in poor detail.	Fair Student made eye contact, but did not stand when presenting. Student chose THREE topics and discussed them in moderate detail.	Good Student made eye contact, stood and fully engaged the class into the lesson. Student chose THREE topics and discussed them in good detail.	Excellent Student made eye contact and stood in front of the class. They also made use of powerpoint, handouts, props and/or the board to help clarify their ideas. Student chose THREE topics and discussed them in excellent detail.
Class Lesson 50 %	Poor Student did not plan adequate activities for class. Student was negative and discouraging to classmates. Student provided very little instruction and no feedback to the class. Student did not take on a leadership role in the class and often needed prompting and assistance from the teacher. Student could not be seen or heard.	Fair Student planned adequate activities for class but needs to work on the sequencing of these skills in a logical order. Student was neither positive or negative to their classmates Student provided brief instructions and very little feedback to the class. Student attempted to take on a leadership role most of the time but still required assistance from the teacher.	Good Student planned adequate for class moving from basic to advanced skills. Student was positive most of the time to their classmates. Student provided good instructions and feedback to the class. Student took on a leadership role throughout the entire class with little assistance from the teacher. Student could be seen and heard most of the time.	Excellent Student planned excellent activities that moved students from basic skills towards more advanced skills with options for new learners. Student was positive and energetic all of the time. Student provided excellent instructions and both individual and group feedback to the class. Student took on a leadership role with no assistance from the teacher.
