The student did a poor job on his or her project. The project is unfinished or incomplete. The student put little effort into create this work.

The student did a fair job on his or her project. It does not seem like a well planned project but the student does have something to present. The project seems messy and rushed. The artist could have spent a lot more time on his or her project.

The student did an average job on his or her project. It is unknown whether the student planned the project well or not. Some parts of the project are visually pleasing while others are not. The project seems about half way great and the other half "not so great" The artist could have spent more time on his or her project.

The student did a good job on his or her art project. The project seems well planned out but there are a few minor flaws. The project is visually pleasing but some parts of the project could be better. The craftsmanship is better then most. The artist spent a lot of time on his or her project.

The student did an excellent job on his or her art project. The project was well thought out and planned. The project was not only visually pleasing but also very creative. The artist displays strong and detailed craftsmanship and spent his or her time wisely in class.
