Research and participation	Poor Research has not been completed. Has not shown much participation throughout research stage.	Fair Research completely adequately. Participated during research stage.	Excellent All research completed to a high standard. Took part in all aspects of research stage.
Content knowledge	Poor Has not answered questions correctly. Lack of knowledge relating to topic shown.	Fair Has answered most questions correctly. Appears to have developed satisfactory knowledge of content.	Excellent Has answered all questions clearly and correctly. Has strong knowledge of learned topic.
Sources / Plagerism	Poor Sources not cited in research. Research information was not in the students own words.	Fair Some sources cited, inconsistent. Some information was incorrectly cited. Not all information was in the students own words.	Excellent Sources cited (including pictures). Every attempt was to document research in students own words.
Presentation in Journal	Poor Presented work is of poor structure. Information is not clearly written or presented. Lack of creativity.	Fair Presented work is clear and able to be understood. Structure of work is sensible and shows some creativity.	Excellent Findings are presented clearly and succinctly. Is visually creative and creates interest for the reader.
