Cannot match pitch. The student shows no confidence.
Fair

The student can match some pitch, but still has difficulty hearing notes. Lacks confidence.
Good

The student can accurately match 50% (+) pitches. The student may have some vocal trouble. Has Confidence
Excellent

The student can match at least 90 percent of pitches. Student performs pitches confidently
Vocal Quality

Poor

The student may sing loud, rough and closed. The student would need to blend.
Fair

Student has vocal quality, but is still lacking desired open-tone. Student could blend with preparation.
Good

Student has good vocal quality and a smooth, open tone. Student may have difficulty w/ranges or difficult music. Could perform in ensemble.
Excellent

Student has an open, free sound. Student does not struggle to produce tone. Student’s sound would strengthen the ensemble.
Song

Poor

Student couldn’t sing on the pitch. Student changed pitches and had trouble singing the melody of the song.
Fair

Student didn’t start on the correct pitch; but was able to finish the song correctly after being redirected.
Good

Student sang the song correctly. There were a few pitch problems. Melody was more than 75% accurate.
Excellent

Student sang the song without any flaws and with confidence.
Stage Presence

Poor

Visibly uncomfortable
No connection with audience. No confidence.
Fair

Student performance was somewhat uncomfortable.
Lack of connection towards audience.
Good

Student exhibits few problems performing. Confident Stage presence but not 100%.
Excellent

Confident performance, stage presence and body language. Great eye contact with audience.
