Techniques/Details Student used various painting techniques to create details and textures of the landscape scene and problem solved to select the best techniques for each part of the landscape.	Advanced Excellent use of painting techniques. Strong evidence of problem solving to find the best technique for each part of the landscape. Excellent textures, patterns, highlights and shadows throughout entire painting make landscape seem realistic and identifiable.	Proficient Good use of painting techniques. Evidence of problem solving can be seen in most areas of the landscape. Student used textures, patterns, highlights and shadows in most areas of the painting to make landscape seem realistic and identifiable.	Approaching A couple different techniques were used, but not much problem solving can be seen. Student used very few textures, patterns, highlights and shadows where necessary to make landscape seem realistic and identifiable.	Not Proficient Hard to distinguish techniques used throughout the painting and no problem solving to create details and textures can be seen. Student used no textures, patterns, highlights and shadows but not enough to make the painting appear realistic or identifiable.
