Use of Elements & Principles of Art	4 Thorough understanding and use of elements and principles of art. Carefully planned, chose a color scheme carefully, used space effectively.	3 Average understanding and use of elements and principles of art. Showed awareness of using space effectively.	2 Partial understanding and use of elements and principles of art. Assignment done adequately but shows lack of planning.	1 No understanding and use of elements and principles of art. No evidence of planning.
Creativity	4 Always expresses creativity. Always adds imaginative details to artwork.	3 Consistently expresses creativity. Adds imaginative details to artwork most of the time.	2 Occasionally expresses creativity. Inconsistent with adding imaginative details within artwork.	1 Infrequently/rarely creative. Rarely adds imaginative details to artwork.
Quality Work	4 Outstanding effort and neatness. The project was continued until it was as complete as it could be. Gave effort far beyond that required.
