AVID Presentation Rubric

Rubric for evaluating student presentations. Can be applied to any presentation. Adopted from http://www.ncsu.edu/midlink/rub.pres.html

Presentation Rubric
	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Organization/Content	Poor Audience cannot understand presentation because there is no sequence of information. Only 1 or no requirements are fulfilled. Missing 5-6 slides	Fair Audience has difficulty following presentation because student jumps around. Only half of the requirements are fulfilled. Missing 3-4 slides	Good Student presents information in logical sequence which audience can follow. Missing 1 of the requirements. Missing 1-2 slides	Excellent Student presents information in logical, interesting sequence which audience can follow. All requirements are fulfilled. No slides missing
Subject Knowledge	Poor Student does not have grasp of information; student cannot answer questions about subject. No understanding of focused note-taking or chosen subject.	Fair Student is uncomfortable with information and is able to answer only rudimentary questions. Understanding of subject matter is unclear, but shows some understanding of chosen subject.	Good Student is at ease with expected answers to all questions, but fails to elaborate. Both subjects seem to be understood.	Excellent Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by answering all class questions with explanations and elaboration. Both subjects seem to be understood and expressed clearly
Images	Poor Student does not use any Images to support presentation.	Fair Student uses only one Image to support presentation	Good Student uses two or more Images to support presentation.	Excellent Student's Images are concise and explain and reinforce presentation.
Mechanics	Poor Student's presentation has four or more spelling errors and/or grammatical errors.	Fair Presentation has three misspellings and/or grammatical errors.	Good Presentation has no more than two misspellings and/or grammatical errors.	Excellent Presentation has no misspellings or grammatical errors.
Time	Poor Student presentation is at least 45 seconds minute.	Fair Student presentation is at least 1- 1 1/2 minutes.	Good Student presentation is at least 1 1/2- 2 minutes.	Excellent Student presentation is at least 2 minutes or more
