Characterization 20 % Actors displayed effective emotion and energy in the scene.	Excellent Actor listens to and responds to other character on stage. Remains in character. Smooth line delivery. Believable.	Good Actor mostly listens to and responds to other character on stage. Remains in character. Smooth line delivery. Believable.	Fair Actor somewhat listened and responded to partners.	Poor Actor does not listen and respond to partner. There are no character choices present. Unbelievable.
Voice 20 % Actors used effective use of voice. Displayed effective volume, diction, and vocal variety.	Excellent Words clear and well-projected. Varied rate, volume, pitch and pause. Pitch and inflection match character. Clear articulation.	Good Words are mostly clear and well-projected. Mostly varied rate, volume, pitch and pause. Mostly clear articulation. There is very little movement that gives meaning to the scene. Actors are rarely open to audience.	Poor Ineffective. Positions do not convey character or add meaning to show. There is little to no blocking. Actors are not open to audience.
Preparation 20 % Student will demonstrate effective use of class and rehearsal time for preparation. Lines are memorized and all actors are focused and in character.	Excellent Rehearsal is evident in the performance. Students seem adequately prepared. All are focused and in character the whole time. Lines are very well memorized.	Good Students seem mostly prepared. Mostly focused and in character. Most lines are memorized.	Fair Some lines memorized. Students are somewhat prepared but are not always focused and in character.	Poor Lines not memorized. Very little evidence of rehearsal. Students are not focus and break character constantly.
