	Excellent 10 pts	Good 7.5 pts	Fair 5 pts	Un-acceptable 2.5 pts
Completion	Excellent Style was completed within time allotted.	Good Style was more than 50% completed.	Fair Style is less than 50% completed.	Un-acceptable Style was barely attempted.
Technique	Excellent Hair was prepped and learned up-do techniques were used to create design.	Good Hair was not prepped properly, but proper techniques were used.	Fair Hair was prepped, but no learned up-do techniques were used.	Un-acceptable Hair was styled but not with learned up-do techniques.
Neatness	Excellent Style is cleanly styled, precise, and very few stray hairs. Minimal hair-pins and/or elastic bands showing.	Good Style is mostly clean and precise, but with a good amount of loose hair strands or hair pins and/or elastic bands showing.	Fair Style is not finished-looking, and appears messy or 'stuck' together. Excessive loose hair and/or hair pins, elastic bands showing.	Un-acceptable Style is very messy and design is unclear.
Effort	Excellent Student put great effort into their design and its excecution, and remained 'on task' throughout assignment period.	Good Student put in moderate effort, and remained mostly 'on task' throughout assignment period.	Fair Student put in little effort, and was often 'off task' throughout assignment period.	Un-acceptable No effort was apparent, and student was rarely 'on task' throughout assignment period
Sanitation & Setup	Excellent Excellent Student was able complete the initial sanitation and setup independently.	Good Good Student needed a few reminders to complete the initial sanitation and setup.	Fair Fair Student needed several reminders to complete the initial sanitation and setup.	Un-acceptable Poor Student needed a high level of supervision to complete the initial sanitation and setup.
Blow Dry and Thermal irons	Excellent Excellent Student was able to complete service independently.	Good Good Student needed a few reminders to complete the blow dry and curl/straightened section.	Fair Fair Student needed several reminders to complete the blow dry and curl/straightened section.	Un-acceptable Poor Student should have dried hair &/or ironed hair in a professional manner. Student needed a high level of supervision.
Problem Solving	Excellent Excellent Student recognizes, initiates and solves problems independently	Good Good Student recognizes and acts to solve problems but uses more steps than is necessary. Is willing to seek assistance.	Fair Fair Student recognizes problems but doesn't react or seek assistance	Un-acceptable Poor Student doesn't remember to adjust client head to so that work can be done easier.
Attention to Detail	Excellent Excellent Student recognizes and corrects the minimal flaws made--strives for excellence.	Good Good Student recognizes and then independently attempts to correct flaws and without guidance.	Fair Fair Student doesn't readily recognize flaws but if advised will attempt to correct.	Un-acceptable Poor Student doesn't try or is unwilling to correct style where needed
Professional Behavior	Excellent Excellent Student demonstrates ability to recognize and behave appropriate workplace behavior. Respectful, professional vocabulary and grammar, an excellent encourager to others. An excellent team player!	Good Good Student demonstrates respect, good vocabulary and grammar, good positive behavior. A team player.	Fair Fair Student demonstrates a conscious effort in behavior but needs to be reminded on a regular basis to correct themselves. Behavior and grammar needs improvement.	Un-acceptable Poor Student demonstrates Disrespect, Distracts other students and instructor, Slang Vocabulary and grammar, Negative behavior.
Professional Attitude	Excellent Excellent Student demonstrates a positive attitude and has the ability to recognize and display appropriate workplace attitudes. This student goes beyond by helping other, encourages a positive attitude, and strives to achieve their goal. An Excellent team player!	Good Good Student demonstrates a positive attitude. Able to take criticism and use it to their advantage. The student improves their work and strives to achieve goals. A good team player.	Fair Fair Student demonstrates a neutral attitude. Needs to be encouraged daily. Unable to take criticism. Distracted with work.	Un-acceptable Poor Student demonstrates a negative attitude. Talks out of place, disrupts classroom. Reacts negative to criticism. Stops working.
