The student is loud enough to be heard and uses voice inflection to enhance his or her story. The audience feels more connected because of inflection.
Body Language

Poor

The student rocks, sways or leans against board or other object. He or she lacks practice or effort.
Good

The student may sway, rock or occasionally lean but makes an attempt to connect with audience.
Excellent

The student's movements are practiced and planned. All of his or her movements enhance the presentation.
Fluency

Poor

The student has noticeable pauses or takes long breaks between words. The student restarts multiple times and/or stammers over his or her words.
Good

The student takes minimal pauses or breaks. He or she restarts or stammers 1-2 times.
Excellent

The student speaks at a fluid, conversational pace with no pauses , breaks, or restarts.
