Accomplished
Tone Quality is consistently free and open throughout.
Advancing
Tone Quality is free and open through the normal range. An extreme note in the range sometimes causes the quality to be uncontrolled.
Developing
Tone Quality is often free and open, but sometimes the tone is uncontrolled in the normal range. Occasionally the tone quality detracts from the overall performance.
Beginning
The tone is often not free and open regardless of the range, significantly detracting from the overall performance. (The tone lacks practice)

Performs with creative interpretation of the style of music. Uses accurate dynamic levels.
Advancing
Typically performs with an interpretation and style suggested by instructor.

Dynamic levels are inconsistent and performed with some interpretation, but not consistently.

Text contains several mispronunciations, including poor formation of vowels and/or consonants.
