Archery Shooting Archery shooting In this performance assessment the student will demonstrate correct form when shooting in archery. Each assessment will consist of 5 shots. Stance Stand with non-dominant side hip facing target, tips of toes in line with bullseye, bow shoulder facing target.	Needs Improvement Student demonstrates very little understanding of how to stand when shooting an arrow	Developing Student demonstrates an understanding of how to stand when shooting an arrow most of the time	Proficient/Advanced Student demonstrates a complete understanding of how to stand when shooting an arrow everytime they shoot
Load/Nock Bow facing downward, arrow is "nocked" or loaded onto bow with odd colored feather facing target.	Needs Improvement Student does not understand how to nock an arrow	Developing Student demonstrates an understanding of how to nock an arrow most of the time	Proficient/Advanced Student demonstrates an understanding of how to nock an arrow everytime they shoot
Draw Squeeze nock with pointer & middle fingers, bring elbow to sky, arrow remains pointed downward	Needs Improvement Student does not understand how to draw the bow	Developing Student demonstrates an understanding of how to draw the bow most of the time	Proficient/Advanced Student demonstrates an understanding of how to draw the bow everytime they shoot
Anchor Raise bow & arrow and point arrow toward target’s bullseye. Release & Follow Through Roll fingers off string, release arrow, and hand drops.	Needs Improvement Student does not understand how to release and follow through. As a result the student does not hit the target very often	Developing Student demonstrates an understanding of releasing and following through and hits the target most of the time	Proficient/Advanced Student demonstrates an understanding of releasing and following through every time they shoot and hits the target every time.
