	Good 3 pts	Fair 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Attentiveness	Good Listens attentively, sitting with good posture and reactive facial expressions at all times.	Fair Listens attentively most of the time with pleasant facial expression.	Poor Frequently fidgets and looks bored. Is distracting to the rest of the class.
Reacting	Good Claps along with assigned rhythms as directed. Is able to identify rhythms appropriately with little help from the teacher or other students.	Fair Attempts to clap along with assigned rhythms, but is easily distracted and looks at teacher or other students for help.	Poor Makes no attempt to clap along with assigned rhythms.
Discussion	Good Is able to accurately discus the use of rhythm, and melody within the piece. Can identify motif and sequences without teacher guidance.	Fair Is able to discus the use of rhythm and melody in a limited capacity. Can identify motif and sequences with teacher guidance.	Poor Is unable to discus elements of music after listening to the piece.
