Appears uncomfortable in the presence of peers. Mostly alone in unstructured situations. Unable to join a group of peers or work collaboratively. Unable to maintain a conversation.
Fair

Able to join a group of peers with adult support. Maintains a conversation by asking questions or making comments with minimal adult cues.
Good

Joins peer groups or works collaboratively with little to no support. Appears comfortable engaging in conversation. Initiates, maintains, and ends conversations appropriately.
Problem Solving

Poor

Very upset when minor problems occur. Unable to react or respond appropriately. Needs immediate adult support to solve the problem and recover.
Fair

Able to determine the size of the problem and an appropriate reaction or response with adult support. Calms down in a timely manner.
Good

Reactions to problems match the size of the problem. Student is able to generate solutions independently or ask for help when appropriate. Student appears calm when small problems occur.
