Very Good Student demonstrates considerable knowledge of content with evidence of at least one item of prior knowledge per paragraph.	Excellent Student demonstrates thorough knowledge of content with evidence of more than one item of prior knowledge per paragraph.
Understanding of Content	Needs Improvement Student demonstrates limited understanding of content and rarely paraphrases from the bullet points.	Satisfactory Student demonstrates some undestanding of content and there is evidence of paraphrasing in at least one paragraph.	Very Good Student demonstrates considerable understanding of content and there is evidence of paraphrasing in > two paragraphs.	Excellent Student demonstrates thorough understanding of content andthere is evidence of paraphrasing in all paragraphs.
Grammar and Spellin	Needs Improvement Many errors > 4 per paragraph	Satisfactory Several errors > 3 per paragraph	Very Good Errors are minimal <3 per paragraph	Excellent Grammar and spelling are excellent!
