Poetry Project You will be conducting research about 2 poets and three poems for each poet. This research will be presented in an informative speech including well-researched biographical information and analysis, the poems, and a PowerPoint or preapproved multimedia presentation.

Research Student conducts appropriate biographical research. Research is presented in the form of a blended analysis of poets and poems and utilizes a mininum of three resources for each.	Excellent Student conducted thorough research through at least three resources (x2); biographical information is woven into an intro to poems and themes, is original and well-written, with fewer than 2 grammatical errors.	Good Student conducted research through at least two sources (x2); biographical information is woven into an intro to poems and themes, is mostly original and contains fewer than 5 grammatical errors.	Poor Student conducted research through one source only; biographical information is unoriginal and limited in scope. Sources are not cited.
PowerPoint Presentation Student creates a visually pleasing presentation of the poems including interpretations where needed.	Excellent Presentation is original and appealing. Detail is presented using bullet points, contains all required elements, and notes are concise.	Good Presentation is adequate, but not original or creative. Detail is mostly presented using bullet points, contains most required elements, but notes shoul be more concise.	Poor Presentation is not original or creative.
