Developing -Student developed a survey question and collected student data, yet may have been unclear in questioning or not accounted for individuals in their data collection.	Secure -Student developed clear/concise question and appropriately gathered data from all classmates (all 19 students are accounted for in survey)
Graph Representation -Student's collected data is correctly reflected in their graph. -Graph includes all necessary elements (title, axis label, easy to read)	Beginning -Student's graph does not reflect survey data -Graph is missing 2 or more important elements or another type of graph might have been displayed (i.e. line plot)	Developing -Bar Graph has been constructed, yet survey data may not be accurately reflected in graph or - 1-2 Elements of the graph (title, labels) may be missing	Secure - Bar Graph is identical to the survey data collected. -All elements are included such as title, axis labels and numbers and categories are identified.
Mathematical Statements -2 math statements about their graph that reflects knowledge of math graphing vocabulary (minimum, difference/range, maximum etc.)	Beginning -Student statements are missing. -Statements that are provided have little relation to the graph and include no math terminology.	Developing -Student has recorded 2 math statements about their graph. However, one or segments of one might include inaccuracies or lack necessary math vocabulary. Quality of Work/Understanding -student demonstrates neatness in graph and care in designing graph (i.e. numbers are clear and organized)	Beginning -Student requires additional guidance in developing a bar graph -Clarity and Understanding are not portrayed in student work.	Developing -Students graph and othe components are completed, yet certain elements may be hard to follow or read and minor errors may be present.	Secure -Students graph is visually appealing and easy to follow -Effort and mathematical knowledge is clearly apparent.
