Comprehension	Intermediate Mid Student can easily understand familiar and unfamiliar words, based on context, from a variety of real-life text types either face-to-face or electronically. Student does not need multiple exposure to text.	Intermediate -Low Student can understand familiar and one or two unfamiliar words from a variety of real-life text types either face-to-face or electronically. The student may require average repetition.	Novice High Student sometimes struggles to familiar words from a variety of real-life text types either face-to-face or electronically. The student may require significant repetition.	Novice Mid Student can understand just a few words but misses a significant portion of the text.
Main Idea	Intermediate Mid Student can easily extract the main idea.	Intermediate -Low Student can extract the main idea.	Novice High Student struggles to extract the main idea.	Novice Mid Student cannot extract main idea.
Supporting Details	Intermediate Mid Student can easily extract many supporting details (with minimal exposure) which is easily noted in the detailed responses/notes.	Intermediate -Low Student can extract many supporting details (with some repeated exposure) which is noted in the detailed responses/notes.
