Materials	Exemplary Student always brings: - sheet music Clear evidence of outside individual practice and improvement	Proficient Student usually brings all materials. Occasionally forgets music Strong evidence of outside practice or improvement.	Emerging Student frequently does not bring required materials. Inconsistent evidence of outside practice or improvement.	Incomplete Student does not have required materials, including music. No evidence of outside practice or improvement.
Effort	Exemplary Student always demonstrates a continuous effort to improve, and actively participates to strengthen the ensemble. Asks questions out of genuine necessity as well as interest.	Proficient Student usually demonstrates an effort to improve with good intention to help the show choir.	Emerging Student demonstrates inconsistent effort to improve oneself or as a show choir vocalist	Incomplete Student does not attempt to improve, either as an individual or as a show choir vocalist.
Participation	Exemplary Student fully participates, along with being actively engaged in class rehearsal.	Proficient Student usually participates, along with being engaged in class rehearsal.	Emerging Student somewhat participates and engages occasionally in class rehearsals.	Incomplete Student does not participate and engage in the class rehearsals.
Musicianship	Exemplary Student showcases musicianship by having a clear knowledge of the music, effectively recalling pitches, and rhythms, and articulations.	Proficient Students showcases musicianship by having a strong knowledge of the music, can recall pitches, rhythms, and articulations.	Emerging Student showcases musicianship by having a fair knowledge of the music, recall pitches, rhythms, and articulations.	Incomplete Student does not showcase musicianship by not having knowledge of the music, recalling pitches, rhythms, and articulations.
