Rhythms Students will identify, classify, produce, and perform rhythms through listening and clapping.

Identifying Notes and Rests Students will identify the notes and rests given.	Developing The student cannot identify any of the quarter notes, eighth notes, and quarter rests.	Meeting The student is able to identify some quarter notes, eighth notes, and quarter rests with some accuracy.	Exceeding The student is able to identify all of the quarter notes, eighth notes, and quarter rests given accurately.
Identifying Note/Beat Patterns Students should be able to identify the notes, rests, and beats in a given pattern. (Rhythmic Accuracy)	Developing Student is unable to say how many counts/beats are in the rhythm pattern correctly.	Meeting Student is able to identify some patterns and identify some of the counts/beats in the rhythmic pattern.	Exceeding Student is able to identify all of the patterns and counts/beats in the rhythmic pattern independently.
Reading Rhythm Patterns Students should be able to read the rhythmic pattern given and consistently follow the beats. (Rhythmic Timing)	Developing The student is unable to read the rhythm pattern and clap the rhythmic pattern using a steady beat.	Meeting The student is able to read and follow some of the rhythm pattern and clap the rhythmic pattern using a steady beat sometimes.	Exceeding The student is able to read the rhythm pattern, follow the beats accurately, and clap the rhythmic pattern using a steady beat consistently.
