Design	Poor Not completed	Fair Design had some basic thought, rushed	Good Design shows involved thought and compared designs.	Excellent Design is well thought out, compared 4-5 designs, makes good use of materials.
Chiseling	Poor Student Did not come close to shaping project with chisels	Fair Project was shaped half way, but not completed.	Good Project was 3/4 shaped but not completed.	Excellent Project was completely finished shaping with chisels.
Sanding	Poor None	Fair Fair amount completed,but unfinished	Good All areas sanded but some scratches are still visible.	Excellent All areas are sanded smooth with no rough or sharp edges.
