HS Singing Test

Students will sing a song on which they worked during the for the end of semester concert. Student will sing collectively as a class, recording themselves using FlipGrid to submit their video recording.

Rhythm/Tempo 20%	Exceeds Expectations Student ALWAYS sings rhythms accurately with a steady beat and is able to sing along with the accompaniment at the correct tempo.	Meets Expectations Student MOSTLY sings rhythms accurately with a steady beat and is able to sing along with the accompaniment at the correct tempo.	Developing Student SOMETIMES sings rhythms accurately, sings with a steady beat and is able to sing along with the accompaniment at the correct tempo.	Poor Student attempted but is NOT ABLE sing rhythms accurately or sing with a steady beat and is unable to sing with the accompaniment up to tempo.	Unacceptable Student did not attempt to sing at all.
Diction/Memorization 20%	Exceeds Expectations Student ALWAYS articulates the words clearly. The lyrics are fully memorized and easily understood.	Meets Expectations Student MOSTLY articulates the words clearly. The lyrics are mostly memorized.	Developing Student SOMETIMES articulates the words clearly. The lyrics are SOMEWHAT memorized.	Poor Student attempted but is NOT ABLE to articulate the words clearly at this time. Student needed much assistance with lyrics.	Unacceptable Student did not attempt to sing at all.
Tone Quality/Intonation/Projection 20%	Exceeds Expectations Student ALWAYS sings the correct pitches and demonstrates perfect intonation with good, clear, relaxed tone. Student ALWAYS projects and is easily heard.	Meets Expectations Student MOSTLY sings the correct pitches and demonstrates very good intonation with good, clear tone. Tone may be a little breathy at times/not as relaxed. Student MOSTLY projects and is easily heard.	Developing Student SOMETIMES sings the correct pitches but demonstrates poor intonation with good tone but it is breathy/not relaxed. Student SOMETIMES projects but is not easily heard for a majority of the song.	Poor Student attempted but is NOT ABLE to sing the correct pitches and demonstrates poor intonation or sing with good tone. Student is NOT ABLE to project voice/be heard over the accompaniment.	Unacceptable Student did not attempt to sing at all.
