On Time

excellent

Students is on time and quickly ready for rehearsal.
good

Student is late to rehearsal, but has a pass. The student is ready quickly and does not interrupt the class.
average

Student is on time getting to the music room, but takes too much time getting ready for rehearsal.
poor

Student is usually late for rehearsal
Prepared

excellent

Student has the music folder/computer out and ready as soon as he/she enters the music room.
good

Student forgets to get the music folder/computer, but quickly goes to get it when reminded. It is out and ready.
average

Student forgets folder/computer, but does go and get it. The student does not open it up for the entire rehearsal.
poor

Student forgets folder/computer and all music.
Participation

excellent

Student displays an attentive attitude and puts forth a high level of effort throughout the entire rehearsal. Student is always focused and shows that he/she is able to BE HERE NOW. There is little to no talking.
good

Student displays an attentive effort for the MOST of the rehearsal. Student is MOSTLY focused and shows that he/she is able to BE HERE NOW. There is some talking and the student had to be spoken to and asked to please be a better listener.
average

Student displays an attentive effort for SOME of the rehearsal. Student is NOT consistently focused throughout the rehearsal and is unable to show that he/she is able to BE HERE NOW. There is a LOT of talking and the student had to be spoken to 2-3 times and asked to be a better listener.
poor

Student is NOT attentive at all. He/she often is distracted, talking when others are talking, and/or does not demonstrate an appropriate level of effort in rehearsal. Student is unable to show that he/she is able to BE HERE NOW. The student talked so much that it was disruption to class and the student may have been asked to go to the office.
