Characteristics of an Atom

Students were asked to illustrate an atom showing the nucleus with protons and neutrons and the electron cloud surrounding the nucleus. They were then asked to write a six sentence paragraph on the general characteristics of an atom. Finally, students were asked to put in their own words why atoms were important.
