The Paper Airplane Challenge

Students will research and create a paper airplane that flies the farthest or the longest based on their current knowledge.

Approved Materials 1-2 standard-size sheets of copy paper (required) one standard paper clip (optional) three inches of tape (optional) a dab of glue (optional) **three staples (optional)	Superior Uses only materials from approved materials list.	Excellent 1 item on the airplane that is not on the approved list.	Good 2 items on the airplane that are not on the approved list.	Developing 3 or more items on the airplane that are not on the approved list.
Quality of build Care and accuracy were taken to create plane	Superior Nice proper folds. No wrinkles. Care was taken in the accuracy.	Excellent Some folds are nice, a few could be neater	Good Most folds are off for accuracy. Able to see that the folds are not correct.	Developing Plane is not made with care or accuracy.
Flight Planes distance/time plane flies.	Superior Great flight. Flies well and is able to stay in the air flying rather than fall.	Excellent Flies alright. Does not seem to fly as well as other planes.	Good Flies a little. Very poor compared to others.	Developing Does not fly.
