Found Poetry
Write a poem about the main character using the author’s words instead of your own. Reread parts of the story that talk about the character. Then select ten descriptive words or phrases about the character that you think are important. Rewrite the words as a poem. Take them STRAIGHT FROM THE TEXT. Your poem should describe the character's thoughts, feelings or actions. Your poem does not have to rhyme. Use ONLY words and phrases that you find in the book.
