Technology-Based Final Project

Students will research a specific human impact on the environment, like plastic pollution, deforestation, or erosion. They will use PowerPoint to create an infographic public service announcement explaining the issue and proposing solutions. The presentation should include at least three visuals, two researched statistics, and a reflection slide summarizing what they learned.

Good Student showed good understanding with mostly accurate information and some supporting details.	Fair Student showed basic understanding, but the information may be vague or missing key details.	Poor Student provided little relevant information or shows a misunderstanding of the issue.	Incomplete Student did not complete assigned task.
ISTE Standard 6.d Students will include at least 3 visuals and 2 researched statistics to support their topic.	Excellent Student included 3+ relevant visuals and 2 well-chosen statistics that effectively supported the topic and engaged the audience.	Good Student included 3+ visuals and 2 statistics that generally support the topic.	Fair Student included fewer than the required visuals or statistics, or their relevance to support the topic is weak.	Poor Visuals/statistics were unclear, irrelevant, or mostly missing.	Incomplete Student did not complete assigned task.
Slide Content & Organization Students will include a title slide, content slides, summary, and sources in a logical, well-organized presentation.	Excellent Student included all required slides in a logical, well-formatted presentation that flows clearly and supports understanding.	Good Student included most required slides in an organized presentation.	Fair Student included some of the required slides, but organization or clarity is lacking.	Poor Student included few required slides and presentation lacks clear structure.	Incomplete Student did not complete assigned task.
Summary Slide Students will create a summary slide reflecting on what they learned during the activity.	Excellent Student included a thoughtful and detailed reflection slide with specific examples of what was learned.	Good Student included a reflection slide that shows general understanding of the learning process.	Fair Student provided a basic summary with limited insight or depth into what was learned.
