Instructions In the workplace being able to listen, read and follow directions can be critical in most roles. As Communicators, it is imperative.	Excellent All instructions from the assignment were adhered to. If clarifications were needed, they were asked. If there were deviations, the reasons were provided in advance.	Satisfactory Most of the instructions were adhered to. Clarification may or may not have been sought.	Needs Improvement Instructions were not followed and this lead to difficulties in accessing materials, or the materials were hard to follow. It is assumed that because instructions were not followed, there might have been some confusion/questions about the assignment, but yet no clarification was sought.
Grammar & Style Guide Note: for grammar students are given a free pass on three unique spelling or grammar issues. Over and above that marks are deducted.	Excellent Grammar, including sentence structure were very good. The Style Guide was adhered to.	Satisfactory There were some grammar issues over and above the "three free". Grammarly may not have been used. The Style Guide was adhered to.	Needs Improvement Grammar and spelling issues made the report and supporting materials difficult to assess. Grammarly was clearly not used. The Style Guide was not adhered to.
Reports Communications Practitioners must be able to assemble and write professional reports.	Excellent Best practices for report structure, including referencing appendices "IN" the report were followed.	Satisfactory Most of the best practices discussed and showcased in sample reports were followed.	Needs Improvement Best practices discussed and showcased in sample reports were not followed.
Applying Theory & Class Teachings Students must demonstrate that they are applying the material taught	Excellent Serious attention has been applied to the learnings, and the students clearly demonstrate they are applying the learnings to their assignment.	Satisfactory Many of the learnings have been applied, but key learnings are absent.	Needs Improvement Only a few of the learnings have been applied. And if none are applied, no marks will be given.
Presentation Creation/Delivery A key skillset for MarComms is the ability to deliver presentations. (Really almost all professions will have some level of public presentation).	Excellent Students created a professional PPT, including proofreading content. Students presented meeting the timeline requirements. Students adhered to presentation best practices, including NOT reading their slides.	Satisfactory Students created a professional PPT, but missed some proofreading issues. Students almost met the time criteria. Students adhered to most presentation best practices, including NOT reading their slides.	Needs Improvement PPT was not professionally done. Time requirements were missed. Students didn't adhere to best practices.
