Genogram and Self-Reflection Rubric
	Poor 50 pts	Good 75 pts	Excellent 100 pts
Genogram 25 %	Poor Student shows 4 generations of family on genogram with no symbols supporting their explanations.	Good Student shows 4 generations of family with a few symbols supporting explanations.	Excellent Student shows 4 generations of family using accurate symbols with supporting explanations and relationships throughout their family.
Diversity concerns 25 %	Poor Student references racial ethnicity, spirituality, gender and sexuality in paper.	Good Student integrates self-understanding on racial ethnicity, spirituality, gender, and sexuality into paper.	Excellent Student is able to connect and intergrate understanding on racial ethnicity, spirituality, gender, and sexuality into paper. Students are also able to make connections based off their symbols in their genograms.
Self-understanding 25 %	Poor Student reflects upon self-understanding but does not connect it with genogram.	Good Student critically reflects upon genogram but does not adequately connect it with self-understanding.	Excellent Student critically reflects upon genogram and how that has influenced self-understanding.
Family Systems Theory 25 %	Poor Student makes brief and shallow references to the family systems theory.	Good Student is able to reflect and connect real experiences to the family systems theory.	Excellent Students are able to distinguish patterns and relationships, such as cutoffs and triangles, and reflect on how it affects different generations.
