Content The student follows the instructions and includes all required elements of the assignment.	Emerging The student does not follow the instructions and includes few, if any, of the required elements of the assignment. That includes alignment of the communication elements to a news story.	Proficient The student usually follows the instructions and includes some of the required elements of the communication and aligns it with a news story	Advanced The student always follows the instructions and includes most of the required elements of the assignment that includes alignment of communication elements to news stories.
Google Doc Check-In The student is responsible for meeting deadlines for this tracking process	Emerging The student rarely, if ever, meets Google Doc deadlines and poorly tracks progress with news stories.
