	Outstanding 10 pts	Good 8 pts	Fair 6 pts
Rows & Columns 30 % 1/4 inch seam lines as instructed.	Outstanding Stitching is equal in tension and length and all seam lines are followed precisely.	Good Stitching is even 50% of the time. Seam lines are followed most of the time.	Fair Tension and length of stitching is uneven, there is bubbling of fabric. Many seam lines uneven.
Correct Cutting 30 % Fabric pieces or blocks cut accurately.	Outstanding Accurate measurements and cutting used throughout.	Good Some measurements were slightly off causing some additional adjustments in assembly.	Fair Measurements and cutting considerably off causing major revisions to size of project.
Pressing 10 % Project was pressed at each step for evenness.	Outstanding Quilt top very neatly pressed. All seam lines pressed according to instructions. Pressing was done as it was assembled.	Good Quilt top is adequately pressed. Some seams are turned. Appears to have been pressed when a few rows or pieces were assembled.	Fair Quilt top is poorly pressed. Not pressed according to instructions.
Overall Neatness 10 % Quilt top is neat and holds its shape. Seamlines match at points.	Outstanding Threads cut, seams and entire project pressed. Quilt blocks match at seam lines giving a very neat appearance. Assembly was accurate.	Good Some threads left uncut, project is not completely pressed. Most blocks and rows match at seam lines. A few mistakes were made in assembly.	Fair Lots of threads left uncut, project is not pressed. Quilt top does not hold its shape. Many blocks and/or rows don't match. Some mistakes in assembly.
Borders 10 % Borders added to frame out the quilt formation.	Outstanding Quilt edges were finished with borders. Borders were cut correctly, and attached with an even seam allowance.	Good Quilt edges were finished with borders. Borders were slightly incorrect, either the borders were slightly cut unevenly, or sewn with aneven seam allowance.	Fair Quilt did not have borders.
Binding 10 % Quilt was finished with edging.	Outstanding Quilt edges were bound using either a backing fabric pulled around to the front and properly folded, or a separate binding fabric was attached. Binding appears to be evenly applied, topstitching was even around the frame of the binding.	Good Quilt edges were bound using either a backing fabric pulled around to the front and properly folded, or a separate binding fabric was attached. Binding appears to be slightly unevenly applied, or the topstitching was slightly uneven around the frame of the binding.	Fair Quilt edges and binding were not completed/or binding was significantly unevenly applied or attached poorly.
