Relief Sculpture from Found/Recycled Materials 
Students will reference a place of their choice to create a relief sculpture consisting of a minimum of fifteen found/recycled objects. Students will be able to analyze how placing objects into an assemblage, along with changing their color, alters a viewer's perception of those objects.

The student is able to discuss one contemporary artist who uses recycled/found objects in their work. The student is able to discuss how they used color, texture, and arrangement of their pieces to reference a place of their choice. Students are able to discuss how altering their objects changes the viewers perception of those objects.

Advanced

The student can compare and contrast their piece with the work of a contemporary artist. The student can explain how they used color, texture, and arrangement of their objects to reference a place of their choice. The student can analyze how their alterations affects a viewer's perception of those objects.
Proficient

The student can compare and contrast their work with the work of a contemporary artist. The student can explain how they altered their objects but cannot explain how they used those alterations to reference a place of their choice. The student can explain how their alterations affects a viewer's perception of their objects.
