Student will be able to apply concepts of value to their portrait by utilizing all pencils to maximize depth and realism in the final drawing

Student will be able to modify their drawing to apply value to their work. Some areas are still overly gray but depth is starting to be seen
Limited 1

Student will be able to measure their value application by physically setting and copying the scales to their work. More differentiation is needed but the beginnings of depth is seen
Craftsmanship

Accomplished 4

Student will be able to critique their work and reappraise it to show a pristine finished piece: no under drawings are visible, grid lines are erased and no traces seen, no smudge line are visible, etc.
Skilled 3

Student will be able to assess their work and correct any areas of blemish, however, their may be a grid line or 2 seen or a few smudges seen. Overall these do not interfere with the drawing
Emerging 2

Student will be able to make observations of their work and deem where corrections should be made for future: erase better, draw lighter, blend, etc. Improvements can be made for final viewing
Limited 1

Student will be able to recognize areas of improvement and make those changes for future work. Large areas need closer clean up to raise overall grade
