Organization of Ideas

Emerging

Data is not supported by evidence and not well developed. The paper is choppy with little organization to it. Introduction and conclusion are shallow or understated.
Good

Material does not follow a logical sequence and paper is choppy. Development of themes is hard to follow although referenced.
Proficient

Topic is supported by citation. Presentation of material is logical but choppy and certain areas are unclear or not well developed.
Excellent

Topic is clearly presented with a logical flow. Paper is easy to follow and well organized. Introduction and conclusion are concise and thoughtful.
Writing Skills/APA & Research Skill

Emerging

APA format is not followed. Writing skills are at a basic level. Errors may be prevalent. Research is either insufficient or unclear. Not enough articles used or articles are out of date.
Good

APA format is inconsistently followed. Citation, reference, or structure errors may be present. Paper writing skills will need some effort.
