~Sculpting the contour and volume of the figure in correctly.

Level 1

*The student did not finish the work in a satisfactory manner. Did not use time wisely, was not on task, disrupted others. Was on task less than 50 percent of the time.

*The student finished the project but it lacked finished touches. The project could be improved upon with little effort. Not the best effort. Was on task more than 50 percent but not quite 80 percent of the time.
Level 3

*The student completed the project in an above average manner, yet more could have been done to add details and finishes. Student was on task 80 percent or more of the time.

*The student gave an effort far beyond the requirements of the project.
The student chose a challenging subject and stayed with it. Was focused the entire class each day, and did not give up when things got hard.

*Very little creativity shown. Chose the easiest item or one that did not challenge the student.
some white areas of bisque are still showing. Buffing is not finished.

craftsmanship could be better.
Level 3

*Creativity shown, but more was possible.

*Presentation of shoe or object was very creative.
The finish is applied well, and buffed out till a dull lustre is apparent.
Challenging object was chosen.
Meeting criteria

Student chose a challenging subject based on research in sketch book.

Level 1

Give yourself 1 point if your slab is one piece. (ie wallet)
Level 2

Give yourself 2 points of you tried a object that had more than 1 slab in the construction. Somewhat easy.
Level 3

Give yourself 3 points if you attempted a difficult object and modified it slightly. Attempted metal finishes in addition to the leather.
Level 4

Give yourself 4 points for choosing many details, and multiple slabs that were joined together, with texture, metal, and other additives considered.
