Student plays with an even, appropriate steady beat at least 75% of the time; some note values are uneven, and it is difficult at times to determine tempo.

Articulation

Does the student begin each note with a "ta" tongue? Does the student observe all written articulation markings, such as staccato and slurs?

Student begins each note with a "ta" tongue. Student also observes all written articulation markings, and unmarked notes are tongued appropriately.

Student begins each note with a "ta" tongue. Student observes all but one articulation markings, and unmarked notes are mostly tongued appropriately.
