Proficient

The dimensions are labeled correctly. The amount of boxes each square contains corresponds to the correct computation of the formula for Area of a regular quadrilateral.
Approaching Proficient

The dimensions are incorrectly labeled. The amount of boxes each square contains corresponds to the correct computation of the formula for area of a regular quadrilateral.
Developing

The dimensions are not labeled. The amount of boxes each square contains is incorrect

The squares are correctly placed to form a right triangle. The dimensions are accurate: the hypotenuse is the longest side and the two shorter sides are the legs.
Approaching Proficient

The squares are correctly placed to form a right triangle but the dimensions may be inaccurate, the hypotenuse may form the leg.
Developing
