Pitch Accuracy (singers)	Level 1 Most pitches are performed incorrectly.	Level 2 Many of the pitches are performed incorrectly.	Level 3 Performed most of the pitches correctly.	Level 4 Confidently performed all pitches correctly.
Rhythmic Accuracy (players)	Level 1 Most of the rhythms are performed incorrectly.	Level 2 Some basic rhythms are performed correctly; however, has challenges with some rhythms.	Level 3 Most of the rhythms are performed correctly, with few errors.	Level 4 Confidently performs all rhythms correctly.
Style/Interpretation	Level 1 The style and interpretation of the piece is not executed during performance.	Level 2 Some parts of the piece are performed using both style and interpretation.	Level 3 Most of the piece is performed using correct style and interpretation.	Level 4 The performance of the piece is beautifully executed with both appropriate style and interpretation.
Focus during performance	Level 1 Student is visibly and consistently distracted during the performance. Eye contact with the audience is sporadic.	Level 2 Student pay attention to the teacher 50% of the time. During performance, student's eye contact with audience. Student seems distracted.	Level 3 Student pay attention to the teacher 80% of the time. During performance, student maintains eye contact with audience 80% of the time.	Level 4 Student pay attention to the teacher 100% of the time. During performance, student maintains eye contact with audience.
Rehearsal Effort and Behavior	Level 1 Student is generally distracted and may be a distraction to the entire rehearsal process. Teacher reminds student continually about what is expected during a rehearsal.	Level 2 Student is on task and giving effort 50% of the time. Teacher frequently reminds this student about what is expected during rehearsal. After the reminder, the student regains focus.	Level 3 Student is on task and giving effort 80% of the time. Teacher gives an occasional reminder to this student about what is expected during rehearsal. After the reminder, the student regains focus.	Level 4 Student is on task and giving effort 100% of the time. Teacher does not need to remind this student about what is expected during rehearsal.
