Thinking with eyes	Not Present Needs constant adult prompts and reminders to think with eyes	Emerging Uses eyes to think about others during routines (small group). Adult prompts needed often	Present but needs adult support Somewhat consistent use of eyes to think about others. Minimal adult cues.	Independent Uses eyes to think about others in a manner consistent with the peer group. Adult only cues or reminds at a rate similar to others
Body in Group	Not Present Needs constant adult prompts and reminders to keep his body in the group	Emerging Wanders away from the group, following own agenda. Adult prompts needed often.	Present but needs adult support Somewhat consistently keeps his body in the group, following group agenda. Minimal adult cues.	Independent Keeps body in the group. Adult only cues or reminds at a rate similar to others.
