Content	Initial Progress The speech was difficult to follow due to a lack of organization. Little detail was given to support the main points. Meets Standards The speaker used logical order and relevant details to deliver their information. Adequate transitions were used. Voice, Eye Contact, Body Language	Initial Progress Audience had difficulty hearing and/or understanding much of the speech due to low volume. Very little expression was shown. The speaker seldom looked at the audience. The speaker's posture and expression indicated a lack of enthusiasm or comfortableness with the speech. Some movements were very distracting and made the speech difficult to follow.	Progressing The student could be heard most of the time but at certain points was inaudible. Little expression was shown. The speaker looked up occasionally and focused on only a few people during the speech. The speaker had some distracting movement during delivery. Facial expressions seemed forced or absent.	Meets Standards The student spoke loudly and clearly enough to be easily understood. The speaker used adequate expression and rate. The speaker looked at much of the audience often. The speaker maintained adequate posture and non-distracting movement during the speech. Expressions were comfortable.	Exceeds Standards Consistent and effective volume, articulation, and expression were present in the speaker's voice. Appropriate rate and pausing were employed. The speaker looked at all of the audience most of the time. The speaker maintained good posture. Movements were purposeful and enhanced the delivery of the speech. Facial expressions were comfortable and showed enthusiasm for the topic.
