Clean/replace inner cannula

Using aseptic technique, unlock and remove inner cannula. to prevent desaturation move swiftly. Place inner cannula in NS/Hydrogen Peroxide remove secretions using sterile brush from inside/outside cannula. Hold inner cannula or place in NS rinse tray and rinse with Normal Saline. Tap solution off cannula. Place inner cannula and secure using locking mechanism. Re- oxygenate.
