Student always stays focused on the assignment and always tries his/her best. Student works at improving skills and understanding of subject matter. Did not miss class Works through the period and is helpful. Is a leader but does not take over the whole task.
Satisfactory

Active attempt is made to achieve the requirements.
Student gives assignment some of his/her attention. Is not always focused.
Works through the period but needs prompting from group members at times. Is not a leader but at times can offer solid ideas with fluency.
Needs Improvement

Student gives very little attention to the assignment and focuses on socializing.
Student does not try his/her best. Needs a lot of prompting by group members to help. No initiative. Their section of the work is usually behind.
Unsatisfactory

Student does not attempt the assignment. Student was off task. Does not engage or talk to group members. Their contribution to the idea as a whole is minimum to none.

Excellent

Student is always positive, engaged, enthusiastic and active during the assignment. Student encourages classmates as they work. Can lead and find each members strengths.

Student occationally makes negative remarks about the assignment and/or about classmate's area of work. Critical with out many solutions. Not working well with others.

Student is always negative, combative to completely isolated from group.

Excellent

Student takes basic assignment and adds his/her own ideas that make the product unique.
Student masters concepts and can apply them in other situations. They help other members come up with good ideas that are unique.
Satisfactory

The student struggles through a concept or principle and tries to apply it to the assignment. Needs help but follows through with suggestions.
Needs Improvement

Student may try to imitate other work, but does not put much thought into the assignment. Is doing the bare minimum to think outside the box.
Unsatisfactory

Student does not put any thought into the assignment. Their section is not thought through. It is haphazard.
Conduct

Excellent

Student always listens to the instructor, does not interrupt class and stays on task. Student is always extremely respectful to classmates and group.
Satisfactory

Student usually listens to the group and rarely needs a reminder to get on task. Student is usually respectful towards group.
Needs Improvement

Student sometimes listens to the group. Student is sometimes disrespectful to classmates and can not handle constructive criticism.
Unsatisfactory

Student rarely listens to the group, has a hard time taking constructive criticism.
Clean -up

Excellent

Student always cleans tools and surface areas where they are working. Student returns all supplies to proper places. Student is conscience about cleaning the studio as a whole, not only his/her own area or supplies.
Satisfactory

Student sometimes cleans tools and surface areas where they are working. Student returns some supplies to proper places. Student is not usually conscience about cleaning the studio as a whole. At times allows other group members to do the work.

Student must be asked multiple times to clean tools and surface areas where they are working. Student does not return supplies to proper places. Student is not conscience about cleaning the studio as a whole.
