Weekly Participation

This rubric will be used to determine your weekly participation grade. Please take some time to reflect on all of the categories. Rate yourself for each category in a fair and honest manner. This rubric will not be returned, but your grade will be posted weekly in Powerschool.

	Poor 10 pts	Fair 15 pts	Good 20 pts	Exemplary 25 pts
Attendance	Poor Student is is rarely on time and missed at least 20% of classtime that week.	Fair Student is rarely on time but only by a minute or two.	Good Student is a couple minutes late once for class.	Exemplary Student was on time for each class that week.
Persistence	Poor - With assistance, sets goals and works to accomplish goals.	Fair - Sets goals and works to accomplish goals.	Good - Sets goals and works to accomplish goals despite setbacks or frustrations.	Exemplary - Seeks and sets goals and works to accomplish goals despite significant or multiple setbacks or frustrations.
Time-management	Poor Rarely gets work done by deadlines, always asks for extensions or does not submit work despite time in school.Can't work independently more than 50% of the time	Fair Tends to procrastinate, does not use school time or schedule provided to get work completed. Works independently at least 60% of the time.	Good Usually uses time well, rarely misses deadlines. Works independently at least 80% of the time.	Exemplary Routinely uses time well to ensure things get done on time. Student never asks to adjust deadlines. Can work independently more than 90% of the time.
Precision	Poor -When prompted, products are mostly planned and edited - Errors detract from meaning	Fair - Products are mostly planned and edited - Errors may interfere with meaning	Good - Creates products that are planned and edited - Errors are minimal	Exemplary - Creates products that are planned, highly edited and polished
