The Five Senses

I will teach my students a song written to “The Wheels on the Bus” along with matching dance moves. I will put the song on Web Quest so the students can learn it. I will teach my students matching dance moves to the song. Their performance of the song will be the final project that they create to show their understanding of the five senses.

Memorization Student memorized the song being presented.	Poor Student did not memorize the song being presented.	Fair Student partially memorized the song but pauses often to recall or need to be prompted.	Good Student mostly memorized the song but he/she might pause occasionally to recall or need to be prompted.	Excellent Student fully memorized the song being presented.
Presentation Student spoke loudly and clearly and used proper eye contact.	Poor Student was not loud or comprehendible. Student showed very little enthusiasm, smiling, and eye contact.	Fair Student was mostly hard to hear and sometimes not comprehendible. Enthusiasm, smiles, and eye contact were seen sometimes.	Good Student was usually loud enough to hear and comprehend. Student showed enthusiasm, smiled, and gave eye contact to his/her audience most of the time.	Excellent Student was loud and fully comprehendible. Student always showed enthusiasm and smiled and always looked at his/her audience.
Effort Student put effort into this song and dance.	Poor Student shows evidence that he/she does not care about the quality of their work or performance. Student does not show effort.	Fair Student has difficulty focusing on the project most of time and is easily distracted by others.	Good Student uses class time for practicing but is sometimes distracted by others. Final presentation is good but falls short of excellent.	Excellent Student uses class time to the maximum to practice the song and dance. Time and effort are evident in the final presentation.
