Song of the Era 
Choose a composer from the era we have been studying and select one of their pieces. After listening to the piece, write an essay describing in detail the composer's life, the history of the piece you chose, and your opinion of the piece. You will also give a five minute presentation describing what you found. You will be assessed on the accuracy of your content and your ability to clearly articulate your opinion.

Presentation is clear and logical with few or no mistakes. Information presented displays a reasonable understanding of the topic by presenting information in a mostly concise and clear manner. Presentation makes some connections between topics discussed in class.
Partially Meets Expectations

Presentation sounds like a recitation of facts and lacks clarity. Information is presented in an unclear manner. Requisite knowledge is not evident throughout. Presentation makes few connections between topics discussed in class.
Doesn't Meet Expectations

Presentation lacks a virtually all required elements of expected knowledge and a clear understanding of the subject matter; there are many errors.
